The owners of Bramcote Hills Golf Course have now appealed against the council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a retirement complex on the site. The appeal reference number is APP/J3015/W/21/3274627. All comments made in respect of the original planning application will be forwarded to the inspector and any new comments can be sent to east1@planninginspectorate.gov.uk. The appeal will be on the basis of written representations, so there will not be a public enquiry. Bramcote Councillor David Watts said: “This application was completely wrong for this site. It horrified local residents whose homes would have been blighted by the scheme. We will be making sure that the Planning inspector is fully aware of the strength of feeling locally and we encourage as many other people as possible to send in their views as well.
